Shopping Organiser

I had enough of receipts all over my handbag and unable to find a piece of paper to write things down on so made a shopping organiser.  Made it plain on the front as it was going in the handbag and would catch on everything if I had decorated it.  Took me a long time NOT to do that, cause I love to embellish things.

Pop up Star Ornament

Have had a play day, as I was soooo excited I had water for the first time in two days, the pipes decided to freeze on me, suddenly the water came back on due to the temperature rising, yuk not much fun especially with the snow ruining your trousers with the salt content.

So exicted I had to play so made Tami White's pop up ornament, it is sooo much fun to make and so easy.

It first looks like this:

You then pull the bead up and hey presto it comes out like this:

oops done it again, forgot to lift my craft mat to prevent the light shining on the surface.  One of these days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Christmas Decorations

Have been enthralled with Following the Paper Trail blog.  Laura is sooooo talented.  I did not have the configuration boxes waiting for Scrapadabadoo to send it, albeit from USA but looking forward to my stash when it comes, so made little boxes out of heavy card.

Here are my first attempts.

Have not been blogging for a little while as trying to get to grips with layout etc but never fear I am hear.

Christmas is a comin'

I was feeling down in the dumps and decided to play with my crafts goodies [it always makes me smile at the mess I get into - yes Mum I did tidy up!!!!!]  Hmmmm 55 years old and still being told off - your always a wee one to your parents.

Anyway all of a sudden I started to sing Joy to the World, let Earth receive her King.  I just love the meaning of Christmas, it should be all year round, not the bustle and shoving, and greetin' of folks but the love, the kindness and the sharing.  Jesus is so good we need to spend time with Him more, [talking to myself here as well] cause His love gives you peace.  Keeps me sane as well!  Ok so as sane as I will ever get!!!!!

So made a stationery box, as usual when I make something new it goes pear shaped [what I call artistic creativity] cause there are no mistakes in crafting - only new ideas, this time though I cut the tip of my finger aaargh and guess what blood drops went onto the card, oh the joys of designer paper to cover it up.  I will keep this one for myself unless Mum wants it!

Please excuse the photography, my main light bulb went as as I have vertigo will have to persuade someone to come and put one in!  hint hint Tommy, and you can see my laptop.  Anyway used the two lamps on my desk.

Cara

A lovely wee bairn was two on 11th November (Remembrance Day) and absolutely loves trains, Thomas the tank engine, Chuffington any of them [takes after her great grandpapa!!]
So the card was just for her.

Bag in a box

 I thought it would be difficult but it was easy peasy, made this one simple but will be making the christmas ones with Stampin' Up's Jolly Holiday paper, will show you it once its made.

Nappy [Diaper] Fold

Loved this fold, my upline Emma's mother made a string of these as an advent with chocolate coins in the pockets for Christmas looked fab, will be trying that as well.

Pearls and Flowers

Love to play with punches and decided to glitz and glam the flowers.  Pearls, Brads, Glitter anything I could get away with!

Box Card

Had fun making this box card.  Thanks to Vadaler for showing how to.

Brilliant idea, will be making lots of these for Christmas.

Goodies

I have just been to the Hobbycrafts show at the SECC and spend humungous amounts of money - I bought the Bigshot Pro machine which has arrived today and I cannot wait to play with it.  I also got a hotfix jewel gun and lots of jewels, saves me trying to fiddle with the tiny ones with glue, some nestabilities so will be playing with them and I also got a Tim Holz Sizzix die the one with butterfly.  Ooooooh ttfn away to play.

Vintage vogue

4 cards made at my SU upline class, thanks Emma for the ideas, as usual I twist and turn them o:)))

I also love elegant eggplant ink so used it to make a vintage vogue rose. Not sure as yet whether to add a brad in the centre or the gorgeous dazzling diamonds.

Artistic etchings stamp set

Just loooove this set.
Decided to make a notebook holder instead of a post it holder.

continued to play with the stamps, have not used all of them yet, having sooooo much fun with them.

gift card/money wallets

With Christmas and Birthdays coming up in December I thought I had better get started with these.

Also made a credit card holder, this is brilliant, use mine all the time.



Joseph's coat technique

Just loved playing with this technique, instead of glossy card I use SU whisper white and at the very end put the heat gun on the embossed area and it came up a treat.

Waste not

I have a reputation for not throwing anything out, as testified to the paper flower from the packing you get when your Stampin' Up! comes in, it really cruches up very nicely.  As you can see I am not the greatest in taking photos but you get the idea.

Lattice Card

Had fun with this one, the glimmer mist I made up in a small bottle and it sort of splattered rather than misted but I liked the look of it.  Makes a change from glitter!!!

Used whisper white and rose red card, rose red and summer sun inks and champagne mist for the glimmer effect.  Punches used were 5 petal punch and oval all.

OK 2nd attempt at putting these pics on my blog, had to rotate them to get them upright!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Baa and cupcake I adore, especially Baa as she is chocolate in her centre. Yum.  Well chocolate and crafting do go well together.

Have not got the hang of the tag punch star but practicing like mad cause Ijust looooooove this card.
